Several area girls’ basketball teams were in action Wednesday night.
The Benjamin Logan varsity girls lost to Urbana 44-24.
The Lady Raiders struggled shooting from the floor as they shot 15% (8/53) from the field.
For Benjamin Logan, Elliott Bailey led the way with 8 points. Georgia Bates and Kara Reeves both had 4 points each, and Kyndal Cronkleton added 3 points.
Peyton Mounce led the Lady Hillclimbers with 25 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists, 4 blocks, and 3 steals. Lyza Forson pitched in 16 points and 9 boards.
Benjamin Logan falls to 4-6 (1-2 CBC), while Urbana improves to 4-4 (2-1 CBC).
No JV contest as Urbana does not have enough players.
Benjamin Logan will visit Indian Lake Saturday at 6:00 p.m.
The Indian Lake varsity girls fell on the road to North Union 59-19.
Leading the Lady Lakers was Stephanie Altstaetter with 10 points.
Indian Lake falls to 4-4 (1-2 CBC).
In the JV game, the Lakers lost 34-20.
Carly Strayer had 10 points.
Triad’s varsity team lost to West Jefferson 52-12.
The Lady Cardinals were led by Abbey Overfield with 8 points and 6 rebounds.
Triad is now 1-7 (1-4 OHC).
For the JV game, the Lady Cardinals fell to West Jeff 37-9.
Hannah Russell had 3 points and Mya James pulled down 7 boards for Triad.
