Indian Lake blanks North Union; Bellefontaine and Ben Logan fall

Indian Lake picked up a solid win Monday, while Bellefontaine and Benjamin Logan both dropped their games in high school baseball action.

Indian Lake shut out North Union on the road, 5-0.

Pitcher Madden Lillard threw all seven innings, giving up six hits and no runs.

He also struck out five and didn’t walk a batter.

The Lakers took the lead in the fifth inning after an error and a base hit from Lillard brought in two runs.

Kolton Cummins went 2-for-2 at the plate and drove in one run.

The team played strong defense, turning a double play and not making any errors.

Indian Lake will play at Shawnee on Tuesday.

Kenton Ridge pulled away from Bellefontaine with a big fourth inning, scoring seven runs to win 10-0.

Bellefontaine’s pitcher Luke Levan gave up nine hits and eight runs in just under four innings.

The Chiefs were held to one hit—a single from Sutton Daring—but played clean defense with no errors.

They’ll get another shot at Kenton Ridge on Wednesday at home.

Benjamin Logan lost to Graham Local, 6-0.

Jacob Hawley pitched the whole game for the Raiders, allowing six runs on nine hits.

He struck out four and walked one.

Soli Hughes had a good day at the plate, going 2-for-3.

Ben Logan will host Kenton Ridge on Tuesday.
