With the Indian Lake football team extending its postseason run in the OHSAA playoffs, the start of the Indian Lake Boys Basketball season will be pushed back a few weeks to allow student-athletes time to transition between sports.
Several early-season basketball games have already been rescheduled:
Nov. 28 vs. Jackson Center (Home) → Moved to Jan. 13
Dec. 2 at Versailles → Moved to Dec. 31 (JV at 2 p.m.)
Dec. 5 vs. North Union (Home) → Moved to Dec. 23 (JV at 6 p.m.)
Despite the shifting schedule, Laker Madness / Meet the Team / Alumni Night will still take place as planned on November 26.
The delays ensure multi-sport athletes can safely recover and prepare after football’s deep postseason push—a welcome challenge for the school and community as the Lakers continue their historic run.
