The Indian Lake boys’ soccer team defeated Marion Harding 6-0 in Thursday action.
Leading the scoring was Avery Pequignot with a hat trick, his fifth of the season, which breaks the record for most hat tricks in a season at Indian Lake. Aidan Stinebaugh, Titus Kelly, and Will Faler each chipped in with a goal.
Getting the shutout in goal was Griffin Schaub. Contributing to the shutout was the defense, consisting of Cason Lacher, Gary Hutton, Caleb Timms, Max Solomon, Carter Oakley, and Carson Clary.
The Calvary Christian varsity boys soccer team came up just short in a hard-fought match against Temple Christian, 4–3.
Goals for the spartans came from Seniors Trent Comer and Nehemiah Dillon, along with sophomore Cale Buchenroth. Calvary Christian controlled much of the play, but Temple Christian was able to edge ahead late to take the win.
The Benjamin Logan Lady Raiders defeated the Allen East Lady Mustangs 2-1 on the backs of Daylin Varner. After trailing by one in the first half at Allen East, Varner scored twice in the second half to secure the victory.
The Raiders have now improved to 6-1 on the season, and host West Liberty Salem on Saturday at 5:30.
