Indian Lake boys earn wins; Riverside girls fall short in Monday night MS basketball

Indian Lake’s boys basketball teams had a successful night on the court, with both the 7th and 8th grade squads picking up wins over Benjamin Logan. Meanwhile, Riverside’s girls’ teams faced tough matchups against Sidney Lehman, falling in close contests. Here’s a look at the individual and team performances from Tuesday’s games.

Indian Lake 8th Grade Boys Basketball

The Indian Lake 8th-grade boys defeated Benjamin Logan 34–25 to improve to 3–2 on the season.

Miller Hall led all scorers with 26 points. Colt Volbrecht added four points, while Calen McClelland and Kaiden Lacher each finished with two points. The Lakers will next travel to Riverside on Tuesday.

Indian Lake 7th Grade Boys Basketball

Indian Lake’s 7th-grade boys also moved to 3–2 on the year with a 46–42 win over Benjamin Logan.

Ross Tidwell recorded a season-high 24 points, including three three-pointers. Logan Kuhlke followed with 14 points, while Calin Headings scored four points. Kason Taylor and JT Book each added two points. Defensively, Tyler Ferguson stood out by forcing multiple turnovers. The Lakers travel to Riverside today to take on the Pirates.

Riverside 8th Grade Girls Basketball

The Riverside 8th-grade girls were unable to rally from a slow start and fell to Sidney Lehman, 25–11.

Bella Robinson paced Riverside with seven points, while Avery Wheeler and Brylee Shepherd each scored two points.

Riverside 7th Grade Girls Basketball

Riverside’s 7th-grade girls dropped a defensive battle to Sidney Lehman by a final score of 18–11.

Kinsley Crawford led Riverside with six points, Bella Shultz scored three, and Brylee Shepherd added two points.
