Riverside falls to Houston, Indian Lake battles Northwestern in boys’ golf

The Riverside Pirates boys golf team traveled to Shelby Oaks Monday night and fell to Houston 213-184 in a non-conference matchup.

Brody Orsborne led Riverside with a round of 43, posting the Pirates’ low score of the match.

Syler Clark followed with a 50, while Jaycen Roby carded a 59. Zane Armbruster finished with a 61, and Karston Duckro rounded out the Pirates’ scoring with a 63.

Laney White was the match medalist for Houston, shooting a 42 to lead all golfers.

Riverside will look to bounce back in its next match as the Pirates continue their 2026 season.

The Indian Lake Lakers boys golf team fell to Northwestern 180-155 Tuesday at Windy Knoll Golf Course in a CBC matchup. The loss moves the Lakers to 1-1 in league play and 2-3 overall on the season.

Jaxon Snipes led Indian Lake with a round of 40, posting the team’s low score of the match.

Mason Berg and Reid Roberts each carded a 46, while Jesse Carder completed the Lakers’ official scoring with a 48.

Also competing for Indian Lake were Crew McPherson, who shot a 49, and Grant Wickline, who finished with a 53.

The Lakers also had three JV golfers participate in the match. Charlie Stimmel led the group with a 46, followed by Zeke McVety with a 51 and Eli Cummins with a 54.

Indian Lake will look to bounce back Wednesday evening when the Lakers travel to Marion Country Club to take on North Union.
