Indian Lake Earns Back to Back CBC Title; Other Boys Battle on the Court

The Indian Lake boys varsity basketball team has won back-to-back CBC titles.

Then the Varsity team came out strong, garnering a double-digit lead in no time and an eventual 61-34 final over the Shawnee Braves.

Senior Cam Tuttle was the high scorer on the night with 21 points, followed by Caiden Nicol with 19.

Earlier in the night, the JV Lakers avenged their loss at Shawnee with a 40-37 win over the Braves.

Tyler Tidwell led IL with 14 points.

The Lakers are back in action Tuesday at Versailles.

Riverside Defeated Covington on Senior Night Covington 63-60.

All 7 seniors played the first quarter.

For the Pirates:

  • Gavin Orsborne- 22 points and 2 steals
  • Dominik Stotler- 16 points and 7 assists
  • Ayden Clary- 14 points, 17 rebounds, a dunk, and a game-changing block

The freshman team also won 38-25.

Leading the team:

  • Colton Hurley- 17 points and 6 rebounds
  • Syler Clark- 13 points and 4 rebounds
  • Gabe Steineman- 5 points

The JV team won 40-26.

For the Pirates:

  • Hayden Sanford- 17 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 steals
  • Damien Smith- 9 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 steals
  • Colton Hurley- 6 points and 7 rebounds
  • Carter Kreglow- 5 points, 10 rebounds, and a block

The West Liberty-Salem Varsity (15-5 Overall and 14-2 OHC) lost 50-36 to Fairbanks.

The team finished the season as Co-OHC Champions.

West Liberty-Salem JV (17-3 Overall and a Perfect 16-0 OHC) defeated Fairbanks 48-39.

West Liberty-Salem Freshmen lost to Fairbanks 25-13 (10-5 Overall)

The Benjamin Logan Raiders visited Graham Friday night and lost 51-39.

The team was led by Ethan Miller with 12 points.

EJ Martin added 11 points for the team

The JV lost 30-39.

The team was led by Xavier Allen with 10 points.

Roman Maxwell added 7 points for the Raiders.

 

The Bellefontaine varsity boys basketball team fell to visiting Kenton Ridge 53-46 on Senior Night Friday.

The Chiefs trailed 35-21 at the half.

The second quarter was the difference in the game as Kenton Ridge outscored Bellefontaine 14-3.

Senior C.J. Wilson led BHS with 14 points.

Teammates Riley Neer and Jacob Salyer each tossed in 11 points.

For Kenton Ridge, Ckai (pronounced Ky) Rogan poured in 24 points.

Logan Fyffe added 13 points.

The Chiefs are 5-13 overall and 2-7 in the CBC.

Bellefontaine will host Troy on Saturday night.
