The Indian Lake Girls Wrestling team had a strong showing at the Triad Girls Wrestling Tournament over the weekend, taking home the team championship.
Maddie Miller, Annie Rapp, and Augusta Biederman all earned individual titles, finishing as champions in their respective weight classes.
Other standout performers included Addyson Roby, who placed 3rd, Karsyn Newkirk, who finished 4th, and Myiah Ankrom, who took 5th.
Lili Mackesy and Diem Martin both ended with a 2-2 record for the tournament.
Riley Shaner won her first match but unfortunately injured herself in her second match and couldn’t continue.
The team now looks ahead to the Sectionals, scheduled for February 21, 2025, at Greenview.
The top four teams from Sectionals will move on to the District Tournament at Harrison.
