Indian Lake hosts Laker Invitational

Indian Lake hosted the annual Laker Invitational track and field meet, with both the boys and girls teams finishing strong in third place in a competitive 10-team field.

For the Lady Lakers, Addison Beck led the way with a pair of first-place finishes in the 100-meter dash (13.17) and long jump (16-6.5), while Ava Faler also claimed two victories in the pole vault (7-6) and triple jump (32-0.25).

Both Beck and Faler added second-place finishes — Beck in the 200 meters (27.44) and Faler in the high jump (5-0) and long jump (15-10).

Additional top finishers included:

  • 3rd Place: 4×800 relay team (Reagan Rash, Evie Wagner, Haley Metzger, Myiah Ankrom – 11:13), Reagan Rash in the 800m (2:40)
  • 4th Place: Reagan Rash in 1600m (5:52), Haley Metzger in 3200m (13:58, PR), Maddie Miller in discus (94-3), Terra Beltz in shot put (30-6, PR), 4×400 relay team (Rash, Beck, Wagner, Ankrom – 4:32)
  • 5th Place: Maddie Miller in shot put (30-5)
  • 6th Place: 4×200 relay (Piper Warnecke, Hailey Prater, Karsyn Newkirk, Chloe Wade – 2:02)
  • 7th Place: Evie Wagner in 1600m (6:20), Kayleigh Taylor in 3200m (15:07), 4×100 relay (Warnecke, Prater, Newkirk, Wade – 57.55)
  • 8th Place: Myiah Ankrom in 400m (1:09), Haley Metzger in triple jump (23-10)

Girls Team Scores (Top 5):

  4. St. Mary’s – 108
  5. Graham – 79.33

The Indian Lake boys also finished third.

Christopher Timms led the team, winning the shot put with a personal-best throw of 51-7 and placing second in discus (129-8).

Indian Lake dominated the relays, winning both the 4×200 (Cosby, C. Freyhof, J. Freyhof, Campbell – 1:36.38) and 4×100 (Cosby, Clay, J. Freyhof, Holbrook – 45.70).

Additional top finishes:

  • 2nd Place: 4×800 relay (Lacher, Holbrook, Clary, Stinebaugh – 9:18)
  • 3rd Place: Carson Clary in 800m (2:12), Silas Holbrook in 200m (23.45, PR), Kade Richardson in triple jump (33-3), 4×400 relay (Holbrook, Mohler, Wischmeyer, C. Freyhof – 3:44)
  • 4th Place: Aiden Stinebaugh in 800m (2:13), Wes Campbell in high jump (5-6), Quest Clay in long jump (17-8.25), Franklin Kinney in discus (112-7) and shot put (41-1.5), Will Faler in pole vault (9-6)
  • 5th Place: Bryan Mohler in 400m (54.71)
  • 6th Place: Jacob Freyhof in 100m (11.96), Titus Kelly in 3200m (12:05), KeShawn Blackwell in triple jump (29-11.5)
  • 7th Place: Everett Wischmeyer in 400m (56.4), Wyatt Whitsett in long jump (16-9.5), and as part of the 4×100 team (Shirk, Spofford, Galbraith, Whitsett – 49.91)
  • 4th Place: Wyatt Whitsett also placed fourth in the triple jump (32-0)
