Indian Lake Middle School Defeats Riverside; Calvary Comes up Short to St. Johns


The Indian Lake 7th grade girls basketball team defeated Riverside 31-25.

Laura Metzger led the Lakers scoring 14 points.

Kyler Carruthers scored 9 points and had 9 rebounds, Audra Harford scored 7 points and had 9 rebounds, and Anna Smith scored 1 point.

For the Pirates:

  • Morgan Klingelhofer, 12 points
  • Madison Schindewolf, Ellie Zweibel, and Eva Dodds each had 4 points
  • Rollie Foreman, 1 point


The Indian Lake 8th grade girls basketball team ran their record to 10-2 on the season with a 29-14 win over Riverside.

Rya Pequignot led the Lakers with 15 points and 4 steals.

Alivia Kinney scored 5 points and had 9 rebounds and 3 assists.

Bre Wisener scored 4 points, Madison Davis scored 2 points and had 3 steals, Brylee Buyer scored 2 points and Chloe Borgerding had 1 point and 7 rebounds.

For the Pirates:

  • Molly Carman, 7 points
  • Chloe Purtee, 4 points
  • Kenzie Stotler, 3 points


The Calvary Christian Spartans Jr. high girl’s basketball team had a hard-fought game against St. John’s Lutheran but came up short 12-16.

Destiny Mathys dominated on the boards with 12 rebounds.

Scoring was shared amongst the team: Destiny with 4, Reagan Roell had 3, Madelyn Carter and Mazie Worley with 2 each, and Caroline Moore with 1.
