Thursday was a busy night for area softball teams.
Indian Lake‘s Varsity team fell to North Union 10-6. North Union scored on a run by Davis in the first inning and a single by Kelley in the second inning. Edwards, Roby, and Brentlinger all went 2-4 for the Lakers.
The Bellefontaine Lady Chiefs lost at home to Kenton Ridge 14-0. Kassi Prine went 2-2, Aubrey Hudson and Addison Wical each added a hit. They play again today at home against Ben Logan.
Riverside hosted Sidney Lehman and came away with a 10-0 5-inning run-rule win. Alaina Snow had a great night on the mound throwing a no-hitter and striking out 12 of the 17 batters she faced. Riley Dillon had a two-run home run on the night, Snow went 2-3 with an RBI, and Taylor Dillon went 2-3 with 2 RBIs. Riverside improves to 4-1 overall and 3-0 in league play. Riverside will host Ridgemont tonight.
