The Indian Lake boys wrestling team traveled to Bellefontaine on Wednesday night and came away with a dominant dual meet victory over the Chieftains.
The Lakers defeated Bellefontaine 68–4 at the high school level, showcasing depth and strength across the lineup. Match winners for Indian Lake included Cash Scott (106), Gabe McDermit (113), Keshawn Blackwell (120), Brayden Riffell (126), Jordan Henderson (132), J.J. Shirk (138), Gavin Henry (144), Bronx Dickson (150), Logan Hale (165), Wendell Hurless (175), Lucas Chamberlain (190), Christopher Timms (HWT), and Draden Stevenson (138).
In the middle school competition, Indian Lake also picked up a convincing 54–6 victory, continuing a strong night for the Lakers’ wrestling program.
The event was a celebration of wrestling at all levels, as Bellefontaine hosted a full night of action that included youth, middle school, women’s, and high school matches. The evening highlighted the growth of the sport and provided an exciting showcase for wrestlers and fans alike.
Indian Lake returns to competition this Saturday at the 12-team Chuck Forward Dual Tournament in Archbold.
