Indian Lake, Bellefontaine, and Benjamin Logan Track to Compete at Finals

Indian Lake competed at Piqua in the OHSAA District prelims. Many athletes finished their season with PRs and great performances, and several Lakers qualified for Regionals and Saturday’s finals.

Leading the way for the Lakers and qualifying for regionals next week was Brody Parsell in pole vault (13-6 PR) and Quest Clay in the long jump (20-7.25).

Qualifying to Saturday’s finals was Gavin Henry in the 110 m hurdles (16.34), Quest Clay in the 100 m dash (11.34), the 4×200 relay (1:35), the 4×100 relay (45.03), Noah Shirk in the 300 m hurdles (44.01), Silas Holbrook in the 800 m run (2:13), and the 4×400 relay (3:35)

For the girls, Ava Faler placed 6th in the High jump (5-0) and the 4×800 relay team of Hannah Metzger, KaiLea Miller, Alicia Brielmaier, and Evie Wagner placed 8th (11:16).

Qualifying to Saturday’s finals was Addison Beck in the 100 m dash (13.17) and 200 m dash (26.66).

 

The Benjamin Logan Ladies also are moving on.

  • 4X800 relay: 4th place (10:13.86) – Qualified to Regional Meet- Lexi Archer, Georgia Bates, Hadley Boysel, and  Mylee Boysel
  • Pole Vault: 3rd place – Scarlett Elliott (10-06 *Tied BL School record) Qualified to Regional, 7th – Nora Elliott (9-06)
  • 100 Hurdles: 1st place – Isabel Henderson (15.49), 6th – Kate Gulick (16.66)
  • 100 Dash: 4th place – Abby Vance (13.09)
  • 4X200 relay: 4th place (1:51.20)-Ella Chamberlin, Mya Burrey, Storm LeVan, and Abby Vance
  • 4X100 relay: 5th place (52.22)- Avah Miller, Mya Burrey, Macy Abby Vance, and Nora Elliott
  • 300 Hurdles: 2nd place – Isabel Henderson (46.36), 8th place – Kate Gulick (52.21)
  • 800 Run: 6th place – Mylee Boysel (2:42.45), 8th place – Georgia Bates (2:43.31)
  • 4X400 relay: 8th place (4:24.37) – Georgia Bates, Mya Burrey, Lauren Kennedy, and Mylee Boysel

 

Benjamin Logan Boys Track Team competed on the first day of the DII Southwest District Tournament at Piqua on Thursday.  The Raiders had one Regional qualifier after day 1 with Grahsyn Bailey finishing 4th in the pole vault with a vault of 12’6″. Grahsyn will compete again next Thursday in the regional meet at Piqua.

Placing 5th with a season PR time of 8:32.42 was the 4 x 800 relay team of Eric Hughes, Tyler Shoopman, Landon Zehner, and Eli Rhodes.
