Indian Lake Track Teams Take First Place


The Laker Track Teams both took first place in their first meet of the season on Monday.

They competed at Upper Scioto Valley, taking on USV and Ada.

The Lady Lakers were led by Addison Beck, who was first in the 100-meter dash (13.5), 200-meter dash (28.00), and long jump (15-0). Maddie Miller also scored two first-place finishes on shot put (33-11) and discus (106-0).

Also in first was Ava Faler in the pole vault (7-6), Reagan Rash in the 400 m (1:04), KaiLea Miller in the 1600 m run (6:33), Hannah Metzger in the 3200 m run (14:10), the 4×100 relay (59.9), 4×400 relay (4:44), and the 4×800 relay (11:37).

On the boy’s side, Quest Clay won the high jump (5-6), the long jump (18-11.5), and the 100-meter dash (11.6).

Christoper Timms won both the shot put (45-8) and discus (151-9).

Other first-place finishers were Grant McPherson in the 400 m dash (55.5), Tony Cummins in the 1600 m run (5:43), Brody Parsell in the pole vault (11-6), Gavin Henry in the 300 m hurdles (45.7), 4×200 relay (1:42), and  4×400 relay (3:47).

The next meet is Wednesday at Bellefontaine.
