Indian Lake varsity tops St. Mary’s in four, JV falls in three

The Indian Lake volleyball teams traveled to St. Mary’s on Monday night, where the varsity squad earned a hard-fought win while the JV team came up just short.

The Indian Lake varsity team battled back after dropping the opening set to defeat St. Mary’s in four: 17–25, 25–22, 26–24, 27–25.

Courtney Altstaetter and Cami Bailey each recorded 11 kills, with Altstaetter adding 3 blocks. Annie Rapp contributed 8 kills, 2 blocks, and 14 digs, while Alivia Kinney went a perfect 13-for-13 hitting with 3 kills and 2 blocks.

Mackenzie Miller tallied 3 kills and 19 digs, Riley Ross added 20 digs, and Addison Beck finished with 11 digs. Setter Addyson Roby directed the offense with 33 assists, along with 2 kills and 13 digs.

In JV action, the Lakers fell in three sets, 21–25, 25–22, 25-17.

Madison Davis led the way with 8 kills and 8 digs, while Kenzley Pertuset added 5 kills. Lux Kipker handed out 13 assists, and Layna Nessler chipped in 7 assists and 8 digs. Piper Warnecke anchored the defense with 15 digs.

The Lakers are back on the road Tuesday to face Northwestern.
