Local boys’ golf teams take on OHSAA sectionals

West Liberty-Salem closed out a successful season at sectionals, finishing 9th. The Tigers were just eight strokes shy of a top-five spot. They ended the year with an 11-7 record and 5th place in the OHC.

Sutton Wilcoxon earned 2nd Team All-OHC honors, while Troy Christison and Braydon Thompson received Honorable Mentions.

The Indian Lake boys golf team competed in the OHSAA Sectional tournament at Windy Knoll, finishing 7th overall with a team score of 353.

Jaxon Snipes led the way, shooting an impressive 73 to qualify for the district tournament at Pipestone Golf Club on September 30. His score tied the school record and earned him 2nd place individually.

The Urbana Hillclimbers ended their season at Windy Knoll, shooting a team score of 409.

Ryland Davis shot an 82, which earned him a spot to the district tournement, joining the Lakers’ Snipes, at Pipestone on September 30.
