Friday night was a busy night for boy’s basketball around the area.
The following teams competed:
- Indian Lake smashed Northwestern 81-40. Leading the Lakers was Caiden Nicol netting 25 points and Camdon Tuttle added 21. For the JV: Indian Lake came out on top 63-13. Cooper Hall was the top scorer with 11 points.
- Riverside fell to Troy Christian 38-66. Leading the Pirates was Gavin Orsborne netting 17 points with 7 rebounds, Nate Copus added 5 points and 5 rebounds, Jaxon Woods had 5 points,6 rebounds, and 4 assists, and Dominic Stotler netted 5 points and 2 assists. The JV team lost to Troy Christian 44-57. For the Pirates Damien Smith scored 17 points and had 6 rebounds, Hayden Sanford added 13 points, and Carter Kreglow helped with 9 rebounds and 3 points.
- Benjamin Logan visited Springfield Shawnee Friday night and lost 68-33. The Raiders were led by Collin Powell with 13 points. EJ Martin scored 9 points and Peyton Vermillion added 7 points. The JV Raiders lost 51-8. Diesel Baughman scored 4 points for the Raiders.
- West Liberty-Salem Varsity defeated Northeastern 51-32. For the Tigers Taran Logwood scored 17 points, Miles Hostetler added 11, Carson Poppe netted 9, Brevin Louden scored 6, Caleb Hershberger sank 5 points, and Isaiah Reames added 3 points. The West Liberty-Salem JV team defeated Northeastern 55-20. JJ Johnson netted 10 points, Sutton Wilcoxon added 9, Troy Christison 9, Garrett Wallen 6, Gaven Nance 6, Levi Miller 5, Elijah Christison 5, Sam Strapp 3, and Jake Lauck added 2 scored for the Tigers. The West Liberty-Salem Freshmen team defeated Northeastern 31-22. For the Tigers Tucker Searles 8, Noah Sarver 7. Their next game is Tuesday, December 19th Home Vs Fairbanks.
- Mechanicsburg defeated West Jefferson 45-29
- Fairbanks won against Triad 80-42
- Urbana took down Kenton Ridge 53-44
- Bellefontaine battled Tecumseh and came out on top 58-38
- North Union netted Graham 55-45
