The Indian Lake men’s wrestling team competed in a tri-meet Tuesday night at Sidney High School, facing the host Yellow Jackets and Wapakoneta.
The Lakers earned a team victory over Sidney but came up short against Wapakoneta.
Jordan Henderson (138 lbs) and Christopher Timms (HWT) each went 2–0 on the night for Indian Lake. JJ Shirk (144 lbs) posted a 1–0 record, while several Lakers finished 1–1 on the evening, including Cash Scott (106), Gabe McDermit (113), Keshawn Blackwell (126), and Wendell Hurless (175).
Indian Lake will host a youth wrestling tournament this Sunday at Indian Lake High School, with action beginning at 10 a.m.
The Lakers return to competition December 29 and 30 at the 55-team, multi-state Tri-State Border War hosted by Defiance High School.
