Both the 7th and 8th grade Lady Chiefs volleyball teams were on the road Wednesday to face the Urbana Hillclimbers.
The 8th-grade team came away with a hard-fought victory, winning in two sets 25-14, 26-24.
Alexis Hogan had 2 assists, 5 digs, and 2 aces on 9 of 10 serves.
Gianna Davis contributed 5 digs and 2 aces on 9 serves, while Ellijana Bosiljavec went a perfect 11 for 11 serving with 4 aces.
Brooklynn Muck added 3 kills, and Jazmin Nelson, Alejandra Mergote, Amanda Moran, Kennedy Hairston, Ellie Irick, and Brookelyn Oaks all played key roles in the win.
The 7th-grade Lady Chiefs fell in two close sets, 22-25, 17-25.
Arianna Rumer had 5 assists, 2 digs, 3 kills, and 3 aces.
Skylar Phan served a perfect 15 for 15 with 9 aces, and Braelynn Neer added 4 kills and 5 aces on 5 serves.
