The Riverside Junior High Pirates continued their undefeated start to the 2026 season Tuesday evening, defeating the visiting Milton Union Bulldogs 34-0 in DeGraff.

The victory improves Riverside’s record to 3-0 on the season, with the Pirates once again putting together a strong performance on both sides of the ball.

Khai Johnson led the offensive attack, scoring three touchdowns and adding two successful two-point conversions. The Riverside offense consistently moved the football throughout the game and capitalized on its opportunities to build a comfortable lead.

The Pirates’ defense was just as impressive, holding Milton Union scoreless and recording another shutout. Riverside has now continued to make an impact defensively through the first three games of the season.

Charlie Varian added another highlight to his strong defensive start, recording a pick-six for the second consecutive week. Khai Johnson also contributed on defense with a pick-six of his own.

Jaxon Osborne, Coy Yelton and Ralphie Robinson also turned in strong defensive performances, helping Riverside keep Milton Union out of the end zone and finish off the 34-0 victory.

The Pirates will put their undefeated record on the line next Tuesday, September 15, when they travel to Covington. Kickoff is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
