JV Lakers top Chiefs; Area Middle School teams compete in CBC tourney

The Indian Lake JV team defeated Bellefontaine in straight sets: 22-25 and 18-25.

The varsity teams played each other at the end of September in the first in-school match.

For the Lady Lakers:

Alex Kinney was 7/7 serving, 5/6 serve receive, 21/22 setting, 8 assists, 6 digs, and had 1 solo block.

Addison Beck was 5/6 serving, 5/6 serve receive, and had 8 digs.

Makenna Hurley was 12/12 serving, 16/17 setting, 11/13 hitting, 3 kills, and had 2 digs.

Annie Rapp was 8/8 serving, 6/8 serve receive, 9/10 hitting, 4 kills, 7 digs, and had 1 solo block.

Riley Ross was 12/12 serving, 5/8 serve receive, and had 14 digs.

Cambrie Warnecke was 5/8 hitting and had 2 kills.

Gillian Taylor was 2/3 serving, 5/7 hitting, 2 kills, and had 1 dig.

Leading the Chiefs was Ava Reeves with 20 digs who was 7/8 serving.

Kaeleigh Flora was 9/9 serving and had 4 kills and 3 digs.

Perri Neeld also had 4 kills and 3 digs.

Alexza Clifton added 5 kills, 5 digs, 2 aces, and 2 blocks.

Airiana Young tallied 7 digs and 14 assists.

The JV Lakers improve to 13 – 7.

Indian Lake will travel to Graham Tuesday.

Bellefontaine will host London Tuesday. The JV Black match is scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m.

Middle School:

Area middle school teams competed in the 2nd round of the CBC Tournament.

The Bellefontaine 8th-grade team fell to Indian Lake in straight sets: 22-25, 18-25.

For the Chiefs:

Ava Layman had 3 kills.

Jillian Ullom had 1 kill, 3 aces, and 2 digs.

Presley Vigansky had 2 assists and a block.

Emma Whitaker chipped in with a block and a dig.

The Benjamin Logan 7th-grade team defeated Urbana in 3 sets: 25-10, 9-25, and 25-23.

Autumn Cline had 3 aces, 4 kills, and a solo block

Kelsey Jumper served 4 aces.

Belle Hughes served 3 aces.

Shea Schnieder served 2 aces.

Nevaeh Fogle had an ace and 5 kills.

Georgia Daniels added 5 kills.

The 7th-grade Lady Raiders move on to the Semi-finals Wednesday traveling to London.

Benjamin Logan’s 8th-grade team lost to Shawnee in 3 sets: 28-26, 24-26, and 21-25.

Kylie Harner had 5 aces and 5 kills.

Lilly Kerns had an ace and 2 kills.

Jaylyn Parker and Rylee Davis each had an ace and a kill.

Abby Vance had 8 kills.

Storm LeVan and Avah Miller each added 3 kills.

The 8th grade Lady Raiders finish their season with a record of 15-5.
