Ladies Battle on the Field Thursday Night


The Lady Chiefs lost to Springfield Shawnee Thursday 6-1.

Offensively Laila Butler went 2-3 with two doubles, Addison Wical went 2-3, and Kassi Prine added a triple.

They will play again on Friday at North Union.

The JV Lady Chiefs lost to Shawnee 10 to 9 on the final play of the game.

Shawnee was down 9-8 in the bottom of the 7th with 2 outs when a Bellefontaine error allowed 2 runs to score and end the game.

The Lady Chiefs were led by Chloe Heminger and Natalie Canter who went 3 for 5 at the plate.

The JV is back on the field Saturday morning against Houston at home.


Riverside Softball hosted Lehman Thursday night and fell 6-7.

They had their chances to break the game open, but just couldn’t get the hit they needed.

They left 9 runners on base last night.

Jayden Hoffer had 3 hits with an RBI, Jaidyn Jackson had 2 hits and Avery Perk had a two-run home run.


Halle Roby collected three hits in four at-bats, as the Indian Lake Lakers defeated the Graham Falcons 9-1.

Roby singled in the fifth inning doubled in the seventh, and singled in the fourth.

Madison Brentlinger stepped into the circle first for the Lakers.

She gave up four hits and one run over seven innings, striking out four and walking two.

The Lakers will play against Tecumseh on Friday.


Fairbanks defeated Mechanicsburg 12-6.

Jonathan Alder knocked down Tecumseh 25-4.
