Lady Cardinals and Chieftains Fall Tuesday night; Spartans Defeat Dayton Temple


The Triad girl’s basketball team played at home Tuesday evening against Greenon in a varsity-only contest.

Triad lost 66-47.

Leading the Cardinals, Emma Ferguson had 25 points and 4 rebounds; 3 steals, and 1 assist.

Ashlyn McCoy had 9 points, 7 rebounds, and 1 assist.

Mia LeMay had 7 points and 7 rebounds with 1 assist.

Abbey Overfield had 4 rebounds and 3 assists.

Triad plays Wednesday at home against Greeneview.


The Lady Spartans defeated Dayton Temple Christian by a score of 56-27.

The Spartans were led by Abigail Reinhard with a triple-double of 22 points, 16 steals, and 11 rebounds.

Madhuri Cook scored 14 points and had 5 rebounds and 4 steals.

Kari Gantz chipped in 12 points.

KayLee Hurley had 4 points, 5 rebounds, 4 steals, and 4 assists.

Nora Thornton grabbed 5 rebounds.

Kaylie Carter and Laileigh Beatty chipped in 2 points each.

The Lady Spartans are now 13-1 overall and 9-0 in the OVCC.


The Lady Chiefs lost a battle to a tough Harvest Prep on Tuesday Night.

Leading the scoring for the Chieftains was Senior Lexi Robinson with 13 points.

Quinlan Zedeker added 10 points and Parker Penhorwood, Tiffany Boop and Senior Alexza Clifton chipped in 4 points each.

Penhorwood ripped down 8 rebounds for the Lady Chiefs.

The Lady Chieftains will be back in action this Saturday vs Jonathan Alder.

This will be a “battle for first place” in the Kenton Trail.

The Lady Chiefs defeated Jonathan Alder in December 48-40.

JV tip will be at noon and Varsity tip at 1:30 PM.
