The Lady Chiefs tennis team traveled to Northwestern High School on Tuesday night for a conference match but came up short in a 5-0 defeat.
In singles play, Northwestern’s players dominated. S. Pilson defeated Arrisa Carver 6-0, 6-1. N. Thomas bested Harley Neer with a score of 6-3, 6-2, while K. Steele won against Addison Prosser 6-0, 6-1.
The doubles matches also went in favor of Northwestern. In the first doubles match, Parke and Clark triumphed over Emma Merrin and Adison Postle with a score of 6-0, 6-1. The second doubles team of Wolfe and Newland defeated Olivia Warye and Kaelynn Saxton 6-0, 6-0.
The Lady Chiefs will aim to turn things around in their next match, a non-conference game against Sidney, scheduled for Monday at 4:30 PM.
