The Lady Chiefs volleyball program had a strong showing in their recent matches, with significant victories across the board.

Varsity Team Shines in Home Opener

The Lady Chiefs varsity volleyball team made a successful debut at home this season, sweeping their opponent in three straight sets: 25-22, 25-13, and 25-17. Taylor Banta led the charge with an impressive 18 kills, 8 digs, 2 aces, and a solo block. Kelsie Snapp contributed significantly with 11 kills, 17 digs, and 5 aces, while maintaining a perfect serving record. Ava Reeves anchored the defense with 23 digs. Other key performances included Gabbe Hoon with 6 kills and 2 blocks, and Madi Zedeker, who recorded 35 assists and 4 aces, also serving flawlessly. The win brings the Chiefs’ season record to 1-1.

JV Red Chieftains Secure a Win

In junior varsity action, the JV Red Chieftains triumphed over their opponents with scores of 25-27, 25-10, and 25-17. Kaeleigh Flora led the team with 11 kills and 12 digs. Ava Oppy was a standout with 24 digs and 10 aces, while Jillian Ullom added 10 digs. Presley Vigansky contributed 19 assists and 4 kills, and Alayna Boyd had a solid performance with 7 kills, 12 assists, and a solo block.

JV Black Chiefs Battle Hard

The JV Black Chiefs faced a challenging match but fell short with scores of 10-25, 25-23, and 26-28. Celine Blinn excelled defensively with 20 digs and perfect serving. Brooklyne Kuntz led offensively with 5 kills, 14 digs, and a solo block. Rylee Yelton also had a strong performance with 13/13 serving, 2 aces, and 3 digs. Arianna Rangel contributed 4 kills, 4 assists, and a solo block, while Lyla Conner added 13 assists, 7 digs, and 5 aces.

Upcoming Matches

All three teams will be in action again at home on Monday when they take on the Kenton Wildcats. The JV Black match is scheduled to start at 4:30 PM.
