The Riverside Lady Pirates took on Troy Christian on Saturday.

The JV Pirates fell 32-20.

Leading the ladies in scoring were Gillian Knight and Maddie Lemly with 6 apiece.

The JV pirates are now 4-1 on the year.

The Varsity pirates suffered a loss to Troy Christian by a score of 48-40.

It was a tight game after 1 quarter with Troy Christian only having a 9-8 advantage.

Troy Christian extended their lead in the second half going up 28-16 at the half.

Keeping that momentum in the third with a 26-40 advantage after 3.

The Pirates made a comeback effort in the fourth but it was not enough.

Leading the Pirates in scoring were Aubree Huston and Kenna Johnson both scoring 12 points.

Emilee Robinson chipped in 10 points.

 

The Lady Chiefs fell to Tecumseh on the road Saturday night 38-25.

After a gritty defensive and offensive effort in the first half, the Lady Chiefs led 22-18 at the half.

Leading the Chiefs was Lexi Robinson with 13 points.

The JV Lady Chiefs team won 28-27 with a last-second bucket from Presley Vigansky.

Leading the JV was Emma Whitaker with 11 points.

The Lady Chiefs are on the road Wednesday at North Union.

The JV game is at 6 pm and the Varsity tip is at 7:30.

 

The Benjamin Logan girls basketball team traveled to North Union to take on the Wildcats in a league match-up on Saturday afternoon.

In the varsity match, North Union came out on top 33 to 25 due to the Raiders being outscored by the Wildcats 17 to 5 in the 3rd quarter.

It was a physical match and the Raiders played extremely well defensively the other 3 quarters.

Leading scoring for the Raiders was Mya Burrey with 8 points, Mia Stahler had 5 points and 4 steals, Kara Reeves had 4 points, and Georgia Bates had 3 points with 5 steals.

The varsity girls move to 5-2 on the season.

The Ben Logan JV girls lost to North Union 33 to 35.

Aubrey Harris had 9 points, Adilynne Gregg added 6 points, and Kaylee Hayes added 5 points.

The JV team moves to 3-2 on their season.

The varsity girls play again Monday night as they host Springfield Shawnee starting at 6:00 pm.

No JV game as Shawnee doesn’t have a team.

 

Triad played at home Saturday against West Jefferson.

For the JV game, Triad lost 42-22.

Gracie Martin had 11 points and 6 rebounds.

Jazz Ford and Melissa Graham added 4 points.

For the Varsity game, Triad lost 56-35.

Leading the Cardinals was Emma Ferguson with 14 points.

Ashlyn McCoy had 13 rebounds and 4 assists.

Mia LeMay netted 10 points.

Varsity Record (1-3) OHC (3-4) Overall.

 

The West Liberty-Salem Tigers defeated Fairbanks 56-23 on Saturday.

Leading the Tigers was Lilly Weaver netting 23 Points, and Megan Hollar added 10.

The JV Tigers won 32-21.

Leading West Liberty-Salem was Ava Poppe scoring 8 points.
