The Indian Lake Lady Lakers battled throughout Monday night but came up short, falling 4-1 to visiting Kenton Ridge.
Senior Alania Hershberger provided the lone goal for Indian Lake, finishing with one goal and two shots on the night. She also put both of her shots on goal.
The Lakers finished with six total shots, with all six finding the target. Brylee Roseburrough recorded two shots on goal, while Abby Bihn and Karsyn Newkirk each added one shot on goal.
Defensively, junior goalkeeper Izzi Mackesy recorded 13 saves while facing 17 shots, posting a .765 save percentage.
The Indian Lake coaching staff says while the result was not what the Lakers were hoping for, the team showed several bright spots throughout the match and will look to carry that momentum into its next league contest.
The Lady Lakers return to action Wednesday when they host Tecumseh at Laker Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
