The Indian Lake Lady Lakers battled Marion Harding on the road Thursday night, with the two teams playing to a 1-1 draw.
Indian Lake got on the scoreboard thanks to junior Karsyn Newkirk, who scored the Lakers’ only goal of the night. Sophomore Allison Overmyer picked up the assist on the goal.
The Lakers generated plenty of opportunities throughout the match, finishing with 11 total shots. Juniors Rya Pequignot and Brylee Roseburrough led Indian Lake with five shots each, while freshman Abby Bihn added another shot.
Indian Lake also got a strong offensive contribution from several players as the Lakers continued to battle throughout the match and earn the road draw.
The Lady Lakers will look to build on the result when they return to action Monday night. Indian Lake will travel to Shawnee for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff.
