Lady Lakers down Urbana; Northwestern outhits Chieftains

Halle Roby collected four hits in four at-bats, as Indian Lake defeated Urbana 10-0 on Friday.

Roby tripled in the first inning, tripled in the fourth inning, singled in the second inning, and singled in the sixth inning.

The Lakers got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Annie Rapp tripled down the right field line, Mackenzie Dixon singled to right field, Abigail Elliott doubled to right field, and MacKenzie Miller singled to center field, each scoring one run.

Indian Lake added another run in the second after Roby singled to center field on a full count.

The Lakers added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after Miller doubled to left field and Addison Stinemetz walked, each scoring one run.

Bre Wisener started in the circle for the Lakers.

The righty gave up four hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out five and walking none.

Isla Wooten stepped into the circle first for Urbana.

She gave up 11 hits and 10 runs over five and one-third innings, striking out seven and walking two.

Roby pitched one inning of scoreless ball in relief for the Lakers. She surrendered zero hits, striking out one and walking one.

Overall, Indian Lake garnered 11 hits in the game.

Miller led the Lake going 2-for-3 with two RBIs.

Wisener added two hits for the Lakers in four at-bats.

Morgan Boyd led Urbana with two hits in three at-bats.

Indian Lake welcomes Tri-Village on Saturday for their next game.

Urbana returns to the diamond next Friday at home against North Union.

Bellefontaine Lady Chieftains couldn’t keep up with Northwestern and fell 12-3.

Northwestern jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the first inning after Samantha Wolfe tapped an RBI single.

Another single by Bayleigh Ryder helped Northwestern extend their early lead in the third.

Joy Fogan stepped in the circle first for Bellefontaine, allowing 10 hits and nine runs over four innings, striking out four and walking two.

Sophia Pamer stepped into the circle first for Northwestern.

She allowed 10 hits and three runs over seven innings, striking out 10 and walking five.

Kassi Prine led Bellefontaine with three hits in four at-bats from the leadoff position.

Addison Wical collected two hits for the Chieftains in four at-bats.

Northwestern collected 16 hits in the game.

Ryder, Azzy Hammer, Wolfe, and Pamer each collected multiple hits for Northwestern.
