Lady Lakers earn first win of the year – Varsity and youth weekend soccer results

Several area soccer teams were in action over the weekend.

The Indian Lake varsity girls picked up their first win of the season after defeating Marion Harding 9-2.

Reece Martin led the offensive attack with five goals, Callie Burba, Grace Pequignot, Reagan Rash, and Riley Shaner each added a goal.

Kaitlyn Shaner recorded three assists, Martin and Pequignot tallied two, and Rash and R. Shaner each dished out a dime.

Defensively, Savannah Hill notched 10 saves in goal.

Indian Lake is now 1-7-4 (0-4-3).

The Bellefontaine varsity boys fell at home to Greeneview 3-1.

Dakota Shell scored the lone goal for the Chiefs.

Drew Phillips finished with seven saves.

The Chiefs fall to 2-8-2.

Youth Soccer:

U6 Calvary #2 lost to North Logan #2 3-2.

Cannon Miller led the way for North Logan with two goals. Declan Bednarki added a goal.

Scoring for Calvary were Reid Morrison and Clara Gillespie.

U7 Huntsville #2 defeated Quincy #2 7-2.

Kamden Lacher led all scorers with four goals, while Eleynah Funderburgh, Jagger Harpst, and Nora McClelland each added a goal for Huntsville.

U8 Calvary #3 beat North Logan #1 4-1.

Leading the way for Calvary was Blake Decker with two goals. Isaiah Rolfes and Jameson Morrison each added a goal.

Scoring for North Logan was Sawyer Davis.

U9 North Logan ran past Quincy 7-2.

For North Logan, Trent Pasel recorded a hat trick, Campbell Spriggs, Ella Carpenter, Axl Oglesbee, and Scarlet Smitke each scored a goal.

North Logan improves to 6-0-1.

U11 Huntsville United shut out Calvary #3 7-0.

Ross Tidwell led the offense with a hat trick. Tyler Ferguson added two goals while Caroline Jones and Bennett Shaner each had one.

U11 Calvary #1 handled North Logan #1 10-0.

Joshua Gildow and Graham Buchenroth each recorded a hat trick. Also scoring for Calvary were Eli Keller, Charis Kariuki, Violet James, and Reed Comer.
