Indian Lake’s varsity girls basketball team defeated Marion Harding 48-45 in a thrilling game that saw a late surge from the Lakers.
Although the team started off slow, they managed to tie the game 25-25 with 2:30 remaining in the third period, setting the stage for an exciting finish.
Carly Strayer led the way for the Lakers with 14 points, while Rya Pequignot added 11 points and Mackenzie Dixon contributed 8.
Alivia Kinney, Courtney Altstaetter, and Kennedy Schwaderer added 5 points each to the score.
In the JV matchup, Indian Lake also came out on top with a 32-22 victory.
Haley Metzger and Terra Beltz were standout performers, each scoring 10 points to help secure the win.
The Lakers’ strong second-half performance helped seal the victory in both the varsity and junior varsity games.
