Madison Plains defeated West Liberty-Salem 38-30. Addi Wallen led Madison Plains with 16 points, and Ava Astorino added 10 points. Maddie McGill and Ava Poppe each scored 1 and 3 points, respectively. In the JV game, Madison Plains won 17-12 after two quarters.
Indian Lake Lakers (5-4, 3-1) lost to North Union Wildcats (7-1, 3-0) in a tough CBC Mad River matchup, 53-43. The game was close in the first half, with Indian Lake leading 12-11 after the first quarter and trailing 22-23 at halftime. After tying the game 26-26 in the third quarter, North Union took control with a 3-pointer and an 18-6 run. Carly Strayer scored all 6 of the Lakers’ points during that stretch. Courtney Altstaetter led Indian Lake with 16 points, 14 rebounds, and 5 steals. Strayer added 13 points and 3 assists, and Kennedy Schwaderer scored 6 points with 4 steals. Mackenzie Dixon and Rya Pequignot each scored 3 points, and Alivia Kinney added 2. The JV Lakers also lost 40-15, with Madison Davis and Chloe Borgerding scoring 5 points each.
Triad played Cedarville in a Varsity-only contest, losing 58-30. Mia LeMay led Triad with 16 points and 8 rebounds, while Gracie Martin had 8 points and 6 rebounds. Abbey Overfield scored 4 points and had 3 assists. Triad will play Catholic Central on 12/28 at home at 4:00 pm.
Riverside Varsity lost to Houston 42-16. Avery Perk, Aubree Huston, and Kenzie Stotler each scored 4 points. Riverside Varsity is now 3-5 on the season and will play Newton next Saturday. Riverside JV lost to Houston 16-12 in two quarters. Molly Carman led Riverside with 5 points, and Valerie Knight had 3 points. Kenzie Stotler and Chloe Purtee each scored 2 points. Riverside JV is 2-3 this season.
