Lady Lakers, Tigers, Raiders, Pirates & Spartans Take the Court Over the Weekend

The Indian Lake Lady Lakers beat Springfield Shawnee 47-32 in a varsity-only contest.

Haylee Edwards led the Lady Lakers with 12 points, 11 rebounds, and 5 assists.

Kennedy Swaderer added 11 points and 7 rebounds.

Mackenzie Dixon scored 9 points, had 5 steals, and 5 rebounds.

Carly Strayer added 8 points and 8 rebounds.

The West Liberty-Salem girls basketball team defeated Catholic Central 56-24 in a varsity-only contest.

The Benjamin Logan Lady Raiders hosted a league matchup Saturday night with Graham.

The varsity girls lost 58 to 48 in a physical game.

Mya Burrey led the Raiders with 13 points, Lahna Cook added 10 points, Adilynne Gregg scored 8 points, and Rylan Norviel pitched in 7.

They move to 8-5 on the season.

The JV Lady Raiders beat the Falcons 42 to 18.

Molly Siefring and Elliott Butler led the Raiders with both scoring 11 points each, Kaylee Hayes added 9 points, and Bonnie Brunson scored 7 points.

They move to 6-4 on the season.

Both teams are back in action Thursday night as the host Trotwood Madison with JV starting at 6:00 pm.

 

The Riverside Lady Pirates fell to Covington 28-50.

In the first quarter, Covington got out to a 14-10 lead.

Covington extended that lead to 25-16 at the half and kept that lead with a 38-26 lead after the third.

They then pulled away to a 50-28 win at the end.

Leading the Pirates in scoring was Aubree Huston with 9 and Avery Perk chipped in 8.

The Pirates fall to 4-6 and 2-4 in the conference.

Riverside takes on Waynesfield on Tuesday, JV starts at 6.

 

The Lady Spartans defeated East Dayton Christian by a score of 43-10.

Leading the way for the Spartans was Madhuri Cook with 11 points and 8 rebounds.

Nora Thornton had 9 points and 11 rebounds.

Abigail Reinhard also had 9 points with 5 steals.

KayLee Hurley had 6 points and 7 steals.

Iva Wilson and Kari Gantz chipped in 3 points each.

Kaylie Carter added 2 points.
