Lady Lakers & Pirates Fall; Tigers & Spartans Dominate the Court


The Riverside JV Pirates fell to Miami East on Saturday 24-35.

Leading the Pirates in scoring was Maddie Lemly with 14.

Taylor Dillon chipped in 6 points.

The Varsity Pirates fell to Miami East 53-21.

The Pirates kept in close in the first half only trailing 8-10 after one.

The Vikings extended their lead in the second quarter to 4 with a 14-18 advantage.

After half the Vikings came out and outscored the Pirates 18-5 in the third and had a 36-19 advantage after three and finished off the game winning 53-21.

Leading the Pirates in scoring was Zoie Armbruster with 10.

Avery Perk chipped in 6 and Aubrie Huston had 5 for the pirates.

The Pirates fall to 2-5 and 2-3 in the conference.


Indian Lake lost to North Union 46-29.

Carly Stayer scored 10 points and Haylee Edwards scored 8 points and grabbed 7 rebounds.

Mackenzie Dixon added 4 points, 7 rebounds and 3 steals.

Indian Lake JV lost to North Union 43 to 26.

Kail Shoffstall scored 14 points and Addy Roby scored 6 points and grabbed 12 rebounds.


Triad and Madison Plains played at Hoosier Gym this evening, in Indiana.

Madison Plains was the home team, while Triad represented the Away team.

Triad lost 55-44.

For the Cardinals, Abbey Overfield had 17 points and 5 rebounds.

Mia LeMay had 11 points and 8 rebounds.

Emma Ferguson had 9 points and 2 assists.

Ashlyn McCoy had 8 steals, 5 rebounds, and 4 points.

Triad plays again on Wednesday at home against Cedarville.

Graham Local Schools Girls Varsity Basketball team fell to Northwestern on Saturday 35-22.


The West Liberty-Salem girls defeated Greenon 54-49.

Leading the Tigers was Megan Hollar netting 16 points, Lilly Weaver added 12, Chaley Wade 10, Bailey Poppe 9, and Ava Astroino scored 7 points.

The JV squad fell to Greenon 33-29.

Leading the Tigers was Maddie Adkins netting 9 points.


The Lady Calvary Spartans defeated Kingdom Christian by a score of 46-27.

Madhuri Cook led the team with 16 points.

KayLee Hurley added 12 points.

Abigail Reinhard had 10 points and 8 rebounds.

Kari Gantz and Laileigh Beatty each chipped in 3.

Nora Thornton added 2 points.

The Spartans are now 2-1.

The Lady Spartans also defeated Dayton Temple Christian by a score of 52-15.

Abigail Reinhard led the effort with a double/double of 20 points and 10 steals.

Kari Gantz poured in 13 points.

Madhuri Cook added 10 points.

Nora Thornton chipped in 3.

Iva Wilson, Megan Palmer, and KayLee Hurley each added 2 points.

The Spartans are now 3-1.
