Lady Raiders and Pirates Win Over Weekend

The Benjamin Logan Softball Team defeated Bradford on Saturday 20-5.

The Lady Raiders combined for 20 runs on 20 hits.

Courtney Bowers had two hits including a home run and four RBIs, Chloe Crumm added two hits with a home run and 3 RBIs, and Adilynne Gregg homered.

Brooks Myers went 4-4 with a double and an RBI, and Kyndal Cronkleton was 3-4 with a double and two RBIs.

Bailee Stover and Skylar Miracle each had two hits – a double and two RBIs, Keeli Rostorfer had two hits including a double, and Sidney Sallee and Tanna Jacobs each added a hit.

Crumm and Gregg combined for the win on the mound allowing just one hit and and striking out five.

The Lady Raiders will travel to Indian Lake on Monday for an in-county league matchup.  The first pitch will be thrown at 5:15 pm.

 

The Riverside Softball team traveled to Newton High School for the Newton Cancer Classic on Saturday morning.

In Game 1 Riverside defeated Newton 14-6.

The girls hit the ball really well racking up 13 hits on the day.

Riley Dillon pitched a good game on the mound striking out 4.

Offensively, Avery Perk went 2-4 with a home run and 3 RBIs, Riley Dillon had 3 hits with 2 RBIs, and Jaidyn Jackson had 2 hits with 2 RBIs.

Game 2 for Riverside Softball at the Newton Classic saw the Pirates lose 8-9 in 8innings against Tri-Village.

The girls were down 3 runs twice and battled back to tie the game up in the 7th inning.

We were able to push a run across in the 8th inning, but couldn’t hold the lead and fell in the bottom of the 8th.

Keira Manahan took the loss on the mound striking out 4.

Offensively Riley Dillon went 2-4 with 2 RBIs, Jayden Hoffer went 3-5, and Miah Carman and Aubree Huston each had two hits for the Pirates.

The next game will be Monday at Sidney Lehman.
