Lady Raiders golf comes up short to Lady Falcons; Other Tuesday matches

The Benjamin Logan girls’ golf team fell just short in a dual golf match against Graham, 222-230, at Lakeland Golf Course on Tuesday.

The Lady Raiders were led by Catherine Bramlage and Kaylynn Crumm, who both finished with a 56. Annika Schmidt followed a couple of strokes behind at 58, and Leah Braddock finished with a 60. More finishers for Benjamin Logan

The Lady Raiders will be back in action next Wednesday against Northwestern at Liberty Hills Golf Course.

For the boys, Bellefontaine falls to Tecumseh at Windy Knoll 174-196.

The Chiefs were led by Collen Brugler with a 44, and Noah Smith followed right behind with a 45.

Bellefontaine will play its first home match on Wednesday against Jonathan Alder and Urbana.

 

The West Liberty-Salem boys golf team traveled to Locust Hills to take on Greenon in OHC play, shooting their best score of the year in the win, 171-195

Leading the way for the Tigers was Brock Burgel with a 42. Three players followed closely behind with a 43: Braydon Thompson, Sutton Wilcoxon, and Troy Christiensen. Rounding it out for West Liberty-Salem is Brady Kauffman with a 47 and Devon Jones with a 51.

The Tigers are now 5-4 on the season and play at home tomorrow against Madison Plains and Northeastern.

 

The Benjamin Logan Raiders Boys Golf team traveled to Reid Park to take on Shawnee, coming up short 169-242 on Tuesday.

Drake Newland posted a 55 and scored 3 points, with Dane Reffner adding a 60 and 1 point.

Colson Knight (63), Landyn Shields (64), and Jacob Frederick (69) also contributed to the team’s score.

The Raiders will return to action on Wednesday, September 3, at Liberty Hills Golf Club in a Mad River Division match against Indian Lake.
