The Benjamin Logan Lady Raiders traveled to West Jefferson Saturday night to take on the Roughriders.
The varsity Raiders opened up the 2023/2024 season with a win and a strong physical battle against the Roughriders, 46-37.
Rylan Norviel had 13 points, Lahna Cook added 9 points, Mia Stahler had 8 points, and Kyndal Cronkleton added 5 points.
They travel to Upper Scioto Valley Monday night with game time beginning at 6:00 pm (No JV for USV).
The JV team lost a tough battle 28 to 49.
Elliott Butler led the scoring with 9 points, Molly Seifring added 5 points, Miley Buettner and Bonnie Brunson had 3 points for the Raiders.
They play again next Saturday as they visit Northwestern to open up league play.
