Lady Raiders Net Shawnee; Tigers Defeat Cardinals

The Benjamin Logan girls varsity basketball team hosted a league match-up with Springfield Shawnee Monday night.

They came out strong scoring 46 points in the first half to the Braves 6.

The BL Raiders won the game with a final score of 55 to 25 dominating the Braves the whole game.

All 8 players scored on the evening.

Mia Stahler led the Raiders in scoring with 12 points, Georgia Bates had 9 points, Lahna Cook added 8 points, Rylan Norviel put in 7 points, Adilynne Gregg had 6 points, and Kyndal Cronkleton pitched in 5 points.

They are now 6-2 on the season.

Both varsity and JV play on Wednesday night as they host the London Red Raiders for another league match-up game with JV starting at 6:00 pm.

The West Liberty-Salem Tigers defeated Triad Monday night 61-30.

Leading the Tigers were Challey Wade netted 20, Ava Astroino 14, Lilly Weaver scored 11 points, Megan Hollar 8, Ava Johnson and Maddie McGill added 3 and Briley Sullivan netted 2 points.

For Triad, Abbey Overfield netted 10 points, 2 assists, and 5 rebounds and Emma Ferguson added 6 points. Kaley Nott added 3 assists.

For the JV squad, West Liberty-Salem defeated Triad 48-16.

For the Tigers Keirsten Stoll and Belle Sarver netted 12 points each.

For Triad, Gracie Martin had 6 points and Bre Parsons had 6 rebounds.
