The Benjamin Logan varsity girls cross country team won the Kenton Invite Thursday evening.
Team Scores: 1. Benjamin Logan (37), 2. Kenton (40), 3. St. Marys (67), 4. Waynesfield Goshen (84), — Riverdale (NTS), — Allen East (NTS), — Lima Senior (NTS), — Hardin Northern (NTS).
Leading the way for the Lady Raiders was Georgia Bates who placed 3rd overall in a field of 51 runners with a time of 21:05.
Also scoring a medal was Estella Wenger with her 4th place finish in a time of (21:10). Rounding out the top 15 were Mylee Boysel 8th (21:39), Peyton Smith 13th (23:11), Hadley Boysel 14th (23:47), and Scarlett Elliott 15th (24:07). Malori Barnes completed the scoring with her 18th place finish in a time of (24:28).

The Raiders will run next at the CBC Conference championships.
The meet will be held on Saturday, October 15th at Springfield Shawnee High School.
The varsity girls’ race will begin at 10:00 a.m.
The Benjamin Logan varsity boys finished 2nd out of 8 teams at the Kenton Invite.
Leading the way was junior Eli Rhodes who finished 5th with a time of 18:32. Sophomore Eric Hughes placed 6th with an 18:52. Freshman Tyler Shoopman finished 8th with a time of 19:00.
Rounding out the Raider’s top 5 runners was Sophomore Landon Zehner with a time of 20:14 for 22nd place and Freshman Ethan Vanwinkle placed 25th in 20:29.
Finishing 33rd overall with a time of 20:58 was Sophomore Micha Ackley and Sophomore Aaron Rhodes was 36th place with a time of 21:17.
Freshman Parker Sutherly finished 44th with a time of 22:44, Freshman Holden Zehner placed 53rd with a time of 24:14, and Freshman Landon Braddock finished 64th with a 27:02.
The Raiders will run next at the CBC league meet Saturday, October 15th at Springfield Shawnee High School.

Middle School:
Both the Benjamin Logan Middle School boys and girls teams won the Kenton Invite Thursday.
In the girls’ race of 38 runners, Bonnie Brunson led the pack placing 4th overall.
She was followed closely by Molly Siefring 6th, Gwen Smith 7th, Lauren Kennedy 9th, and Elliott Butler 10th.
In the boys’ race of 31 runners, Max Troth placed second, followed by Gabe Elsasser 6th, Sam Bachus 10th, Charlie Wolfe 16th, and Cole Somerlot 18th.
Both teams will compete in the CBC Championships at Springfield Shawnee on Saturday, October 15th.
