The JV Lady Tigers earned their second win of the season in dominant fashion, defeating Greenon 20-6 in a shortened contest.

It was a complete team effort at the plate, as every Lady Tiger reached base and scored at least once in the win. Cortnee Muterspaw led the way in the circle, striking out six batters in the inning-shortened game.

The Lady Tigers will look to carry that momentum into their next matchup Friday night on the road at Madison Plains.

In junior high action Monday, the Bellefontaine Lady Chiefs (6th grade) outlasted Anna Rockets (7th-8th grade) in a high-scoring 11-9 game.

The Lady Chiefs collected seven hits, led by Miley McKirahan, who went 2-for-3 with an RBI. Leonnah Line added a key hit, driving in two runs, while several others contributed RBIs in a balanced offensive effort.

McKirahan also earned the win in the circle, striking out seven over five innings while allowing nine runs, five of them earned.

In another area matchup, the Benjamin Logan Junior Varsity Raiders battled to an 11-11 tie against North Union on Wednesday.

Benjamin Logan took an early lead in the third inning after Green doubled to drive in two runs and Little followed with an RBI single. North Union answered in the bottom half of the inning to even the score, and the game remained tight throughout.

North Union pulled ahead again in the fourth inning, but the Raiders responded in the sixth, using patience at the plate to draw multiple walks and tie the game.

After North Union regained the lead in the bottom of the sixth, Benjamin Logan answered once again in the seventh inning. The Raiders tied the game at 11 on a clutch single by Watkins.

Benjamin Logan totaled nine hits in the game, with Carpenter, Green, and Newman each recording two hits. Carpenter, Green, and Watkins each drove in two runs. The Raiders also showed strong discipline at the plate, drawing 10 walks.

On the mound, Little started the game, allowing six runs over three and one-third innings while striking out five. White came on in relief, pitching four and one-third innings, allowing three runs and striking out four.

Benjamin Logan returns to action Friday at home against Kenton Ridge.
