The West Liberty-Salem girls track and field team competed Tuesday evening in Day 1 of the Division III District Preliminaries at Graham High School.
The Tigers turned in several strong performances, including a top-four relay finish that punched a ticket to regionals, and qualified athletes in numerous events for Saturday’s finals.

Scorers for West Liberty-Salem:
- 4th Place – 4×800 Meter Relay: The team of Gwen McCullough, Isla Leichty, Mariska Smith, and Arianna Weaver finished fourth, securing a regional qualification with a strong showing.
- 7th Place – High Jump: Arianna Weaver cleared 4 feet, 8 inches, earning a 7th-place finish and contributing two points to the team’s total.

- 100-Meter Dash: Chloe Griffith – 13.06 seconds
