Lady Tigers take third at Bob Schul Invitational

The West Liberty-Salem Big Orange girls cross country team had a strong start to their season at the Bob Schul Invitational hosted by Milton Union on Saturday.

Out of 22 complete teams, the Big Orange finished third, behind Summit County Day (68 points) and Minster (75 points), scoring 85 points overall.

Individually, Malia Miller led the team with a fifth-place finish in 20:35.5, followed closely by Addi Wallen in seventh (20:47.3) and Isla Leichty in 16th (21:25.7).

Other scoring runners included Gwen McCullough (32nd, 22:21.6), Mariska Smith (34th, 22:24.7), Ivy Matthews (38th, 22:30.8), Elia Matthews (52nd, 22:51.6), Hattie Jacobs (53rd, 22:52.6), Mia Dooley (73rd, 23:33.3), and Charlee Albers (74th, 23:32.4). Additional competitors were Rachel Stanford (135th, 25:37.4), Emma Smith (156th, 26:36.1), and Annabelle Booze (210th, 30:04.6).

West Liberty-Salem will next compete at the Columbus Grove Invitational on Saturday.
