In a Saturday morning girls’ basketball matinee matchup, the Indian Lake Lakers defeated the Riverside Pirates 58-32.
Indian Lake jumped out of the gates with a 9-0 run where all points were scored by Kennedy Schwaderer and the Lakers remained in control the entire way,
Riverside utilized its zone defense effectively and kept the game within striking distance until the Lakers exploded for 19 fourth-quarter points.
Indian Lake guard Carly Strayer and head coach Yasmyn Inskeep provided comment after the win.

Riverside was led by Maddie Lemly with 13 points. Kenna Johnson scored 10, and Kenzie Stotler added 7.
Indian Lake opened its season strong behind Kennedy Schwaderer’s 24 points. Carly Strayer scored 12, while Courtney Altstaetter and Hailey Smith each had 8.
