Indian Lake 9, Anna 2
The Indian Lake Lakers defeated Anna 9-2 on Saturday, thanks in part to five runs in the fifth inning.
Reed Strayer singled, scoring a run, Madden Lillard grounded out to score another, Tyler Tidwell hit a two-run double, and an error allowed one more.
Tidwell earned the win for Indian Lake, giving up seven hits and two runs over six innings, striking out seven and walking one.
Aiden Keller took the loss for the Rockets.
The righty went four and two-thirds innings, giving up six runs (zero earned) on three hits, striking out eight and walking none.
Jackson Snipes pitched one inning of no-run ball for the Lakers in relief.
Cooper Hall, Lillard, Tidwell, Aaron Rapp, Lane Kipker, and Reed Strayer each collected hits for Indian Lake.
Clay Cummins and Noah Aufderhaar each drove in one run for Anna.
Keller went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Anna in hits.
Indian Lake hosts Urbana on Wednesday in tournament action.
Anna hosts Miami East on Thursday.
