Lakers knock out #4 seed Carlisle

Indian Lake took on a red-hot Carlisle team Tuesday night in the first round of the DIII Sectional Tournament and won 62-51.

Carlisle was riding an 11-game winning streak to end the regular season.

The game started back-and-forth as the teams had four ties in the 1st quarter that ended 12-12.

The Lakers turned up the defensive heat in the second quarter as Carlisle didn’t score a point until a bucket with 30 seconds left in the half.

Indian Lake would take a 26-14 lead to the locker room.

In the second half, the Lakers would push the lead to 19 points.  Carlisle would trim it to 9 in the fourth quarter, but it was too late as Indian Lake celebrated a 62-51 victory.

Caiden Nicol scored a game-high 28 points (11-16 from the free-throw line).  During the game, Nicol scored his 1,000th point.

Camdon Tuttle chipped in 22 points.

Indian Lake moves on to play Anna next Tuesday at Vandalia-Butler.
