Lakers, Raiders, and Pirates claim victories; Chiefs fall

The Indian Lake Lakers picked up a 5-0 win against Shawnee at home.

Jackson Snipes led off the scoring in the second inning with a single, while Kolton Cummins was hit by a pitch and scored in the third inning.

Madden Lillard earned the win, pitching 4 and two-thirds innings of scoreless baseball, striking out six and allowing just four hits.

The Lakers showed patience at the plate, drawing eight walks, and they stole four bases in the contest.

Indian Lake will host Kenton Ridge on Tuesday.

The Benjamin Logan Varsity Raiders shut out North Union 9-0 on Monday.

The Raiders got an early lead with three runs in the first inning.

Carter Lyden added another run with a single in the second, while an error in the third inning pushed the lead to 5-0.

Bryden Morris earned the win, allowing three hits, no runs, five strikeouts, and just one walk.

Cayden Brown led the offense with two RBIs, while Lyden went 2-for-4.

The Raiders drew nine walks in the game and stole five bases.

The team will travel to London for their next game on Tuesday.

Riverside cruised to an 11-1 victory over Ansonia in a non-league matchup.

The Pirates took control early, outscoring the Tigers in just five innings.

Hayden Sanford led Riverside’s offense with two hits, while Aiden Manning drove in three runs.

On the mound, Cooper Crouch gave up only one hit and one earned run over five innings, while striking out seven.

Riverside improves to a 4-3 record and will return to league action on Tuesday against Troy Christian at home.

The Chiefs were defeated 8-1 by Tecumseh, despite out-hitting their opponents six to five.

Spencer Stolly, who started on the mound, allowed four hits and eight runs (one earned) over three and two-thirds innings, striking out four.

Cayleb Overmann provided the Chiefs’ only RBI of the game.

Bellefontaine’s next game will be a rematch at Tecumseh on Wednesday.
