Indian Lake took care of business from the opening tip Tuesday night in tournament basketball beating Middletown Madison 80-48.
The Lakers never trailed rushing out to a quick 8-2 lead and extending that to 25-9 after the first quarter.
Indian Lake was hot from the 3-point line hitting 5 in the first frame.
The lead would grow to 21 at halftime with IL outscoring the Mohawks 21-16 in the second quarter for a 46-25 lead.
Middletown Madison would never get within 20 points in the second half as the Lakers cruised to victory.
Maddux Hall had the hot hand finishing with 18 points including four 3-pointers. Camden Tuttle pitched in with 15 and Brodey Reisinger tallied 11. Caiden Nicol and Dawson Finfrock each had 9 points.
Madison’s Grady Combs led all scorers with a game-high 24.
Indian Lake (19-5) will return to Vandalia Saturday night at 5:30 against Versailles.
In other tournament action…
Urbana fell to Chaminade Julienne 61-42.
Bellefontaine lost to Trotwood-Madison 81-47. Trotwood only led by 11 at halftime. They dominated the third quarter and pushed their lead to 30 at the end of the frame.
West Liberty-Salem fell to Waynesville 61-37.

Bellefontaine lost to Thurgood Marshall 72-64 in 3 overtimes.
