The Indian Lake Lakers defeated the Kenton Ridge Varsity Cougars 5-2 on Tuesday.
Madden Lillard collected three hits in four at-bats, including singles in the first, second, and sixth innings.
The Lakers took an early lead in the first inning when Cyrus Cummins drew a walk to score the first run.
Lillard’s single and a tag-up by Brady Golliday in the second inning helped extend the Lakers’ lead.
Jackson Snipes earned the win for the Lakers, allowing five hits and two runs (one earned) over five innings, striking out two and walking one.
Tyler Tidwell and Brady Golliday came on in relief, shutting down Kenton Ridge for the remainder of the game.
Their next matchup is Wednesday at Shawnee Varsity Braves.
Meanwhile, the Benjamin Logan Raiders fell to the London Red Raiders 8-3.
The Raiders were the first to score in the second inning when Camden Spriggs singled in a run.
However, a dropped third strike helped London tie the game in the bottom of the second.
Soli Hughes took the loss for Benjamin Logan, pitching four innings, allowing six runs on four hits, while striking out four and walking three.
Parker Yelton, Camden Spriggs, and Jacob Hawley each drove in one run for the Raiders.
Spriggs went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead the team in hits.
