Lakers sweep WG; Middle School action – Monday volleyball results

The Indian Lake varsity team beat Waynesfield-Goshen in straight sets: 25-8, 25-11, 25-10.

Ally Kinney was 18/20 serving, 7 ace serves, 14/15 hitting, and 8 kills.

Kenzie Dixon was 7/7 serving, 3 ace serves, 8/9 hitting, and 3 kills

Devin Rice was 13/14 hitting with 7 kills.

Stephanie Altstaetter was 10/12 hitting, 6 kills, 20/20 setting, and 8 assists.

Halle Roby was 13/14 serving with 2 ace serves, 34/34 setting, and 19 assists.

Katie Roby was 10/11 serving with 3 ace serves and 7 digs.

The Lady Lakers are now 12-6, 4-2 in the CBC.

Indian Lake’s JV team also beat Waynesfield-Goshen ins straight sets: 25-11, 27-25.

Alex Kinney was 5/6 serving, 28/29 setting, 10 assists, 10/12 hitting, 4 kills, and 6 digs.

Addison Beck was 5/6 serving, 3/3 serve receive, and 4 digs.

Makenna Hurley was 5/6 serving, 14/14 setting, 8 assists, 10/12 hitting, 4 kills, and 2 digs.

Annie Rapp was 4/5 serving, 7/8 serve receive, 5/5 setting, 4 assists, 10/12 hitting, 6 kills, and 7 digs.

Riley Ross was 10/10 serving, 10/13 serve receive, and 11 digs.

The JV Lakers are 11-6.

Indian Lake will travel to play Benjamin Logan Tuesday.

Middle School:

The Benjamin Logan 7th-grade team defeated Bellefontaine in straight sets: 25-11 and 25-9.

For the Chiefs, Brookelynn Kuntz and Ava Oppy each had 2 kills to lead the offense, Laney Storm had 3 assists and a dig, while Lyla Connor contributed an ace and a dig.

For the Raiders, Autumn Cline served 10 aces and had 3 kills, Georgia Daniels recorded 7 aces and 3 kills, Nevaeh Fogle had an ace and 7 kills, Kelsey Jumper served 2 aces and Leah Hawley served an ace.

The 8th-grade Raiders beat Bellefontaine in three sets: 25-20, 23-25, and 25-23.

Leading the way for Bellefontaine was Presley Vigansky with 3 kills, 9 assists, and 2 aces. Ella Fultz tallied 2 kills, Sophia Jacobs added a dig, Ava Layman had 7 kills, 2 aces, and 4 digs, Dani Redding chipped in with an assist, Jillian Ullom had 5 kills and 6 digs, Emma Whitaker added 1 kill, 6 aces, 2 blocks, and a dig, and Rylee Yelton helped the team with 7 assists and 2 aces.

For Benjamin Logan, Lilly Kerns served 3 aces and had 4 kills, Kylie Harner had 2 aces and 4 kills, Abby Vance tallied an ace, 9 kills, and a solo block, Julia Harmon served 4 aces, Kealin Gibson served 3 aces, and Avah Miller added 3 kills.

The Lady Raiders are back in action Wednesday night when they host Urbana.

The Riverside 7th-grade team swept Milton-Union in straight sets: 25-19 and 25-13.
