Local boys bowlers battle in Wednesday OHSAA postseason competition

Local area boys bowling teams were in action on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, competing in both the Division I Central Sectional Tournament and the Division II Southwest District Tournament. Teams from Bellefontaine, Graham, West Liberty-Salem, and surrounding schools battled for a chance to advance to the next stage of the OHSAA postseason. Bowlers turned in strong individual and team performances, showing skill and determination across all lanes.

Several area boys bowling teams competed Wednesday in the OHSAA Division I Central Sectional Tournament at Poelking Woodman Lanes. Teams battled for a chance to move on to the district round, including Bellefontaine, which narrowly missed advancing.

Bellefontaine finished 18th overall, 212 pins shy of the cutline for advancing. The team turned in a strong effort, with a solid Baker series.
